Leaked Ekiti Audio: Presidency has a case to answer – Fashola

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state has insinuated that the Presidency has a case to answer after the office of the President was mentioned on a leaked recording on the eve of the governorship election in Ekiti state.
Fashola who spoke on Sunday after he collected his Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, at his polling unit in Surulere area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria stated that some of the persons on the audio cannot deny it.
It would be recalled that a New York-based security firm helped analyse the voices of the characters in the leaked recording on plans to rig Ekiti election and the company, Guardian Consulting, said Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Hon. Abdulkareem and Caleb Olubolade were the persons on the tape.
Guardian Consulting said it conducted a forensic examination on the discussion and compared the voices to public record samples of the known individuals.
In Governor Fashola’s reaction he said he was sure of some of those who spoke on the recording, especially the one who claimed that the promotion of security officer was in his hands.
“They have drawn the presidency into it. They said they were acting on behalf of the presidency. I am sure that fellow and even his grandchild will know that, that is his voice, so how he wants to deny it, I don’t know.”
“His own grandchildren will recognise his voice and many of us have already done. This must open the mind of the Nigerian people to what it takes to win an election. When Governor Aregbesola was celebrating, I know what he went through, because we have been through it, we have been in opposition here, and when we win elections in Lagos as we have always done, we know what it takes to do so, to keep votes that are legitimately cast for us.

“Those people in that audio are the examples of some of the kind of base desperation for power that you can never see. So, why ordinary Nigerians are struggling in the sun, trying to collect their PVCs, trying to vote,
you see what they are doing at night, you see how seriously that party that they represent takes your vote and your effort and your sacrifice for democracy.
I am sure now that Nigerians are getting wiser, because all of the things that they thought was done in the dark, is now out in the open,” he stated.

Why Do Mén Chéat? Here Is The Nakéd Truth

Laura, 34, who had been through a terrible divorce a while back and Holly, 28, who broke up with her fiancé because she found him in bed with his secretary, get up close and personal with us to share their thoughts and experiences to explain why men cheat. We were the ones asking questions while they were replying.
Do men cheat because of sex?
“Séx is probably the major cause for all men to cheat”, said Laura. Holly was quick to point out, “It is not always the case that men don’t get great séx at home. I know it sounds harsh, but men sometimes find it hard to stay faithful”. Friends, better double check on this one in your own life.
Do men cheat because of lack of respect?
“Jonathan, my best friend’s partner cheated on her for 6 months before she found out. He said she did not give him respect which made him go astray”, said Holly. “This was probably the only genuine reason a man could give to the question, why do men cheat. Genuine, but not good enough”, said Laura. “He could always have talked it out. I’m not sure if lack of respect is the justification for cheating”, she added.

Do men cheat because of monotony?
“Mike always told me that his life was getting monotonous day by day. He would come home from work and complain that every day was the same. I feel that this frustration drove him to cheat”, said Laura. We could see the anger on Laura’s face and could sure understand what she meant when she said, “Life is tough and can sometimes get monotonous. That does answer the question ‘why do mean cheat’, does it?”, she asked.
Do men cheat because of long distance relationships?
We were hoping Holly would answer this question and tell us what it has got to do with long distance relationships, because she was in one herself. She did not disappoint us and gave us some great insight. “My ex and I were living in different cities for about 2 years. I got suspicious when he started avoiding my calls and started using frequent excuses and reasons to avoid my calls. I decided to travel to Atlanta where he was based. I crashed into his apartment only to find him with his secretary”, said Holly. “My case is a typical answer to our question. I think that the distance caused my ex to cheat”, she said, disappointed.

Do men cheat because they are inherently unfaithful?
“Absolutely not”, said Holly. We all bump into charming men who may flirt a bit with women but stay in their limits. Men who can stay committed in the most vulnerable of situations are hard to find, but they do exist”, she added. This brings us to the conclusion that men aren’t inherently unfaithful and hence, it can’t be the answer to our question.

Do men cheat because of chauvinism?
“I think that the idea of chauvinism and male dominance has got a lot to do with unwrapping the answers to our question”, pondered Laura. Holly agreed and said, “Male chauvinism can sometimes make a man think that that he can get away with everything, including cheating on his partner. No wonder we see many male political leaders, corporate biggies and big celebrity names caught up in cheating scandals”.

SLIMMING EXPERT QUINCY AYODELE LOSES DAD…

Foremost herbal slimming expert, Quincy Ayodele, has been thrown into an impenetrable darkness of bereavement. Days back, she lost her father, Pa Amos Oluwole Babalola Sodimu to the cold hands of death.
gather that,Pa died after a brief illness in Abeokuta,at age 86years.Read her emotional tribute to the man who has been generally described as an essential of compassion.

‘Daddy, I Praise God that you went to your Father, in good old age according to the word of God, peacefully and in your home as you wished. You were a father and a mother to me and to all of your children throughout your life time.

You suffered a lot to father and mother me from when you collected me from my grandma in the village upon your arrival from London till God made me to fulfill destiny in your presence.

Praise God I remember when I graduated from high school (Compro) with flying colors & the school wasn't going to release my result because we were owing school fees. You went to borrow the money from Sabo.

You were 7days late to pay back & the consequence was to beat you with koboko for the number of the default days and in my presence(tears in my eyes) you were beaten for my sake.

I remember days you will go looking for what we will eat and you would come back with only Gari and sugar, or just tomatoes... Days you will go on empty stomach so that we can eat.

You taught us to be happy in all these situations and we were all happy together with our Step Mother who weathered the storms with all of us your children.

Despite, you struggled to give us the best education at home and abroad. You insisted that after graduating in Nigeria, we must also have overseas training & you ensured we all did. You impacted good legacies on all your grandchildren as in you chose their careers with them - because you were a lawyer, you ensured that one of my children - Marita read law both at home & in the US.

In the last one year, as if you knew u were going to die, even in ur old age, you travelled out to see all your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren taking pictures with all. Even your great grandchildren remember you.

It's just so sad that I won't meet you to physically present your latest great grand child Alicia Oluwanifishe Odunayo Abdul to you. You touched the lives of everyone around you. One can hardly tell the difference between ur biological children and other children.

You united all extended families together & you made us to know most of them. You were a good father to all of us. You fondly call me "Olori aso mi" (meaning best of my clothes) and u always pray "o ni faya loju aye mi, o ni faya lehin mi" (meaning you will not tear in my lifetime and even after I die). I used to say amen while hugging you and I still say amen to that.

I thank the Almighty God for giving me the opportunity to be a worthy child for you to reap the fruits of your labor over me till you died. You counseled and witnessed my growth from that village girl and good for nothing behind the typewriter (Secretary) to the great Quincy Herbal Slimmers known all over the world today. All glory, honor and praise to my Great Sheppard - Jesus Christ.

Pa Sodimu oh, as I fondly call you, you taught me that "simplicity costs you nothing but buys you everything" this has been my guiding principle till date and will continue to be IJN.

With tears in my eyes daddy, with the help of the Almighty God and your spirit leading, I will try my possible best to carry out all the instructions you gave me the last time we spoke. I showed you my love and loyalty when you were alive and trust me daddy, I will not deny you in death. I wish you could come & see how great our Senior Sister Titilayo is handling all situations. All of us ur children (Sistermi Titilayo, myself (Olasumbo), Omolara, Babatunde, Akinwole, Atinuke, Oluyomi, Mosunmola & Olusegun, Kayode, Dipo, Yemisi & your many grandchildren & great grandchildren grief your death in different ways.

In all your life circumstances, I thank the Almighty God that your latter years were so much better than the former. May your caring soul rest in perfect peace. Burial arrangements will be announced later’.

Ateke Tom-We fought for our rights,Boko Haram is fighting for nothing

Ateke Tom is a former militant leader in the Niger Delta..In an interview with Punch, he opened up on why they were different from Boko Hram and should not be labelled terrorists.

How is life as a repentant militant?
Life here is better than the life I once lived in the creeks because I now enjoy free movement and I see my family. I do businesses and I’m free to embark on other gainful ventures outside the creeks. In the creeks, we didn’t use to drive cars, but outside the creeks where we are now leading a normal life, we drive our cars and do other things that will benefit us and the society at large. So, we are comfortable outside the creeks.
What was life like in the creeks?
It was tough there. We were bitten by mosquitoes, but the difference then was that we were not deterred from continuing with the struggle. Our mind was constantly on the fight to liberate the Niger Delta region from marginalisation.
Many are casting aspersions on the ex-militants for accusing Boko Haram of acts of terrorism while they (Niger Delta militants) were also guilty of the same act
It is wrong to describe the struggle we embarked on then as an act of terrorism. We were not terrorists; we were freedom fighters because we had a reason why we were fighting. You can remember that when amnesty came from the Federal Government, we embraced it. Everybody was aware of the reason behind the struggle. The international community and other relevant bodies were aware of the reason for our struggle.
What was the reason for the fight?
We were fighting for our rights. We have the oil; we have the resources being used to feed Nigeria. But they did not want to give us anything and that explained why we were fighting. They refused to employ our people; instead, they (government) brought in foreigners to work in oil companies while we were suffering. That was why we determined we would fight our cause and make the authorities realise that we were not happy with the situation of things. We needed employment; we needed to work. We needed good hospitals, good roads and other social amenities, but there were none. We had to embark on the struggle to make them realise that we were being marginalised.
Everybody knew that we were fighting for our rights. The Federal Government called us and asked us why we were fighting. When the late President Musa Yar’Adua called us, we came out to tell him and Nigerians why we were fighting and they reasoned with us and asked us to cease fight. We accepted and embraced amnesty.
But in the case of Boko Haram, why have they refused to come out? What are they fighting for? Who are they fighting for? They (Boko Haram) members should come out and tell Nigerians why they are fighting. So, it is not right to compare us with Boko Haram. What is stopping them (Boko Haram) from telling Nigerians the reasons they are fighting? President Goodluck has called on them several times to come out and tell Nigerians their grievances, but they have refused to do so. So, we are not similar to them.

BREAKING NEWS: INEC Chairman, Jega Under Threat Of Death (See The Photo Of The Woman That Is After Jega’s Life)

jega
In line with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC chairman’s refusal to postpone the February general elections as desperately desired by the embattled ruling PDP party, the chairman is said to be undergoing serious harassment from the PDP party and presidency.

NewsRescue reliably gathered that while the president of Nigeria is tired and ready to accept defeat, and has commenced negotiating his immunity, it is others around him, most critically the very corrupt oil Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke that are dangerously pushing, bribing and forcing all desperate means including an INEC election date shift hopefully till Jega’s term was over. Lethal weapons we gather have been used to threaten INEC to change the date.

A recent press release showed the INEC chairman buckling under the pressure and considering caving in to help the desperate PDP ruling party. A postponement will be in favor the the PDP ruling party which trends currently at less than 27% favorability to win.
